SYNOPSIS
A decade ago, trucks across Europe suffered tyre blowouts that led to serious accidents. Some resulted in fatalities. No one connected these incidents until someone started pulling at the thread.
The widow of a truck driver who died in one of these accidents in France pointed to the alleged perpetrators: multinational company Goodyear. Her fight has brought the tyre manufacturer before the courts in its own country and raised many questions. Did the company know its tyres were defective and conceal it? If so, how did it cover it up?
Salvados speaks to the widow whose tireless investigation uncovered the case in France. For the first time, it also reveals the hidden list of accidents recorded in Spain involving Spanish victims, where it all began.
