SYNOPSIS
In December 2025, Spain’s Supreme Court sentenced Álvaro García Ortiz, then Attorney General, to a two-year disqualification from public office for a crime of disclosing confidential information, in one of the most exceptional legal proceedings in Spanish democratic history. The court found that he, or someone close to him, had leaked personal information about Alberto González Amador, the partner of Isabel Díaz Ayuso, concerning negotiations with the Public Prosecutor’s Office to avoid trial for a tax offence.
Now, García Ortiz breaks his silence on Lo de Évole in his first interview since the conviction. The two-part interview brings the season to a close and explores the key aspects of a case marked by legal controversy and political and media tensions.
