SYNOPSIS
“Esports 360: El miracle de Vilanova” (“Sports 360: The Vilanova Miracle”) in addition to a football version of “David vs Goliath” portrays a problem of rural Catalonia, depopulation. In the last 50 years, the population living all year round in Vilanova de l’Aguda in La Noguera has been drastically reduced. From 600 inhabitants in 1950 to 60 today. They have closed shops, shops, restaurants but the football team resists. The UE Vilanova de l’Aguda has not missed any season of the last 40 in the territory of Lleida thanks to a lot of effort and illusion for the common project that has ended being football.
