The Call For Entries For The 24th Edition Of The Zoom Awards Is Now Open

The call for entries for the 24th edition of the Zoom Awards is now open

The Zoom Awards will honour the best television and digital platform content from around the world.
The event will take place in Igualada from 18 to 21 November 2026.
The call is open to production companies, broadcasters and independent professionals worldwide.

The organisers of the Zoom Awards for Television and Digital Platforms have begun preparations for the 24th edition of the awards with the opening of submissions to identify the best television and digital productions from around the world. Entries can be submitted through the Festhome platform or via the festival’s website. The deadline for submissions is 29 August 2026.

The Zoom Awards are open to production companies, broadcasters and directors from around the world and feature six official categories: entertainment, news and current affairs, cultural or educational programmes, sports, children’s and youth content, and fiction. In the latter category, the main novelty this year is that only series and miniseries will be eligible, while TV movies, which were included in previous editions, have been removed from the competition. This decision reflects the decline in the production of this format in recent years.

Beyond the official competition, the Zoom Awards also present other prizes, including the Microseries Showcase Award, promoted in collaboration with the Serializados festival and the EVA platform. The initiative aims to support emerging talent and give visibility to the creation of Catalan-language microseries. The call for projects will remain open until 31 July 2026.

The Zoom Awards go beyond the screen and include training sessions, talks and screenings of local productions as part of their programme. For this reason, the organisation is inviting all productions made in the region to become part of this year’s programme. Productions wishing to participate in the KM0 section can submit their entries to zoom@zoomigualada.org.

From all the projects submitted, a jury made up of industry professionals will select the productions competing for the Zoom Awards. In addition, several leading figures from the audiovisual industry will be honoured during the awards ceremony.

With almost a quarter of a century of history, the Zoom Awards are the only Catalan awards recognising television and digital content with an international scope. Over the years, they have established themselves as a benchmark for innovative, cross-platform and high-quality audiovisual productions.

The event has hosted acclaimed productions such as Red Band Society, Merlí and This Is Not Sweden. Last year, the awards received 121 submissions, of which 54 were selected as finalists. Each category is overseen by a panel of industry professionals who determine which productions will compete for the Best Format Award. Following the success of the previous edition, the organisation aims to maintain the number of submissions and continue strengthening both national and international participation.

The winners will be announced during the Zoom Awards Ceremony, which will take place on Saturday, 21 November, in Igualada, as part of the event held from 18 to 21 November.

Further information regarding submissions is available on the official website of the Zoom Awards.
