SYNOPSIS
Spanish, adopted, and of Chinese origin — that’s how the protagonists of “My Eyes from China”, a documentary from the program En Portada, define themselves. Spain was one of the countries that adopted the most girls from the Asian nation when it implemented the one-child policy, which led to thousands of babies being abandoned and ending up in orphanages. En Portada follows seven women who arrived in Spain as children. How do they feel today? Have they experienced racism? Why are some searching for their biological parents? Do they have a happy family life? These are some of the questions explored in this documentary.
