SYNOPSIS

On a trip to Sri Lanka, between paradise landscapes and environments still damaged by the tsunami, the main character reflects on time, our passage through the world and the importance of the moment we live, so ephemeral and changing. Dressed with fast images and frenzied movement, which combine different rhythms and speed changes, the voice-over makes us reflect on the subjectivity of time. As the author quotes, “We are so focused on creating a future, that we often forget about the present.”

COMMENT

Sri Lanka is an ode to this precious gift we have: the present. Four minutes that aim to transport the viewer to the other end of the world, and at the same time raise questions in the interior about the style and the pace of life that we take in Western culture.
